Our Statement Of Faith

The One True God (’Elohim’ Hebrew for God is both monotheistic & polytheistic in scripture):
We believe according to the scriptures that there is only one true God revealed in 3 distinct persons; The Father as God (Phil. 1:2), Jesus as God (Titus 2:13), and the Holy Spirit as God (Acts 5:3-4).  These 3 are separate and distinct persons yet comprise the ONE true Godhead.
The bible reveals the Father sent the Son into the world (John 3:16), therefore He cannot be the same person as the Son. The bible also reveals after the Son returned to the Father (John 16:10), the Father and the Son sent the Holy Spirit into the world (John 14:26; Acts 2:33). Therefore, the Holy Spirit must also be distinct from the Father and the Son.
Amazingly the word ‘Godhead’ appears 3 times in the King James bible; Acts 17:29; Romans 1:20; and Colossians 2:9.

Salvation of Man:
We believe according to the scriptures that the first man (Adam) was created in God’s likeness and image and through an act of disobedience and treason, fell from God’s grace and Spirit. By that fall, man died spiritually and became separated from God’s (zoe) life which effected his very nature thereby passing a sinful nature onto all future posterity. Man’s condition was destined for hell and punishment, but through a second man’s (Jesus Christ) obedience, in fulfilling all righteousness, and the redeeming sacrifice of himself for all of mankind’s sins, redemption may be obtained by confessing Jesus as Lord and believing in your heart that God Raised Him (Jesus) from the dead. Upon receiving Jesus as Lord, a regeneration of the man’s spirit takes place of which the bible calls being ‘Born Again’ or being ‘Born of God’. He is now ‘saved’ from the wages (punishment) of sin. Gen 1:26-28, John: 3:3, 1John 3:9, Romans 10:8, Romans 3:24, 1Cor 15:45-48

Water Baptism:
Water baptism symbolizes the death burial resurrection of Jesus Christ and identification with him. Water baptism is a physical act that should mark the mind of the person being baptized with the reality of his union with Jesus Christ. Water baptism also gives the believer the opportunity to openly testify to others of his born-again experience. It serves as an outward sign in the testimony of an inward grace. The believer has been crucified with Christ buried with him and raised together with him to walk in newness of life. Galatians 2:20 Romans 6:4, Acts 10:47-48

Communion:
We believe in the regular taking of communion as a reminder of the covenant we have through the sacrificial work of Jesus Christ by offering up his own body and the shedding of his own blood for our sins thereby purchasing our redemption and reconciling us back to the Father God. 1Cor 11:23-31

The Baptism of the Holy Spirit:
We believe according to the scriptures in the baptism (infilling) of the gift of the Holy Spirit. Nowhere in the ‘rightly divided’ scriptures do we see that the gift of the Holy Spirit ended with the first disciples and apostles as some have taught. The Apostle Paul asked the believers “have ye received the Holy Spirit since you believed?” and Jesus Himself said: “If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)” John 7:37-39, Acts 1:8, Acts 2:4, Acts: 10:44-46, Acts 19:2-6, Galatians 5:16-26

Healing:
We believe in divine healing of the sick and is a right for every believer since it was obtained with the same sacrificial work of redemption by Jesus Christ. Per the rightly divided scriptures, healing is received through mercy, grace and by faith. Isaiah 53:5, 1Peter 2:24, Matt. 9:20, 22, Matt 9:29, Luke 8:43–48, Mark 5:34, Luke 17:19

The Church:
We believe that those who have confessed Jesus Christ as Lord are a part of and comprise what the bible calls the “Body of Christ” and the “Church”. The Church has been endowed with authority and power as per Mark 16:15-18 to continue the same work Jesus started and is mandated to make disciples of all nations Matt 28:18-20.

The Millennial Reign of Christ:
We believe in the second coming of Christ which includes the rapture (catching away) of all born-again believers. This is the Christian’s blessed hope followed by the visible return of Jesus Christ with his Saints to reign on the earth for 1000 years. Romans 11:26-2

Marriage:

The Church should only sanction or conduct marriages between a man and a woman. God instituted marriage between a man and woman as a foundation of the family the basic structure of human society. God has wonderfully and immutably created each person as a male or female these two instincts complementary genders together reflect the image in nature of God. Romans 1: 26-29,
